Descanso Gardens Bingo for Kids
Descanso Gardens in Pasadena, CA is such a beautiful place. We enjoyed it so much especially while playing Descanso Gardens Bingo which I made for our trip.
The garden territory is huge and seeing the Japanese Gardens, Lilac Garden, Ancient Forest, Camellia Forest, Mulberry Pond, Lake, and Rose Garden was plenty for us. I added items from these places on our Bingo game so that the children could purposefully walk through the garden and search for the things on the list, like Bingo or a scavenger hunt. I also wanted my daughter to learn the names of different plants, and words like gazebo, pagoda, and koi fish.
While walking in the gardens we found three interesting sculptures with eyes, ears, and noses. They are called Wild Sighting and they were created by artist Leslie K. Gray. One sculpture is by the little pond at the Center Circle and two are on the path to Boddy House through Camellia Forest. Maybe there are even more. You will have to find out 🙂
